Gossip sources claim that Lady Gaga's price tag is now a quarter-million dollars-- even for "American Idol".

When producers approached her, she demanded a paycheck of $250,000 to appear on the hit Fox show. Producers of the show hesitated to pay her that amount of money.

A source tells OK! mag, “They thought it was just crazy she was asking for so much money. It was just too much money to pay talent for a performance.”

But "Idol" producers reached a deal, and Lady Gaga taped her performance for next week’s American Idol Top 5 Results Show.

Gaga performed a dash of “Bad Romance” on the piano, and will then break into her current hit “Alejandro.”

A witness says, “Lady Gaga will make some jaws hit the ground as she wears a black thong with a revealing black fishnet bodysuit. It’s a typical provocative costume, but it’s a little shocking.”

Her costume is a black fishnet bodysuit with black sequined accents.

Lady Gaga even uses blood in this performance, which was very reminiscent of her performance of “Paparazzi” on the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Unlike other past performers on AI, Lady Gaga’s stage is rather elaborate, which is pretty dark, full of smoke to create mystery, and danger. She has near-naked homoerotic male dancers supporting her throughout the number. An angel that shoots fire on a mirrored platform will hold court on stage, as well as black thorn-like trees with black poison ivy, and razor blade benches dripping in blood along the stage.

Sources say it’s a bit surprising to see such a provocative costume and performance on a “family show."

And, “After looking at her costume, stage and production, it is easy to conclude a good chunk of change was spent on her performance."

The choreography is all original, and exclusively created for this episode of American Idol. It will not be repeated on any of her upcoming tours.

The performance will air on Wednesday, May 5 along with Harry Connick Jr. who is the Idols’ mentor of the week.

Bret Michaels' reps confirmed he suffered a "setback" in his recovery from a brain hemorrhage. He is now at risk for seizures.

Test results show Bret is experiencing hyponatremia. That's a side effect from the hemorrhage, which was caused by a lack of sodium in the body. That condition can lead to seizures.

But even with the setback, doctors are still hopeful Bret will improve. A doctor said: "he will improve as the blood surrounding the brain dissolves and is reabsorbed into his system. It can be a very painful recovery and could take several weeks to months."

Bret's reps also said that he is under 24-hour observation in the ICU and is in positive spirits. He is also responding well to tests and treatments.

"Extra" spoke with Bret Michaels' father, Wally Sychak, who said Bret is improving.

"He sounded a little slow, but fine. He was talking, not as cheerful as he usually is. But I guess he is under sedation. But he understood what he was saying and knew me. Everything seemed good that way."

Lady GaGa spent $150,000 to have a new stage built for her set at this year's Lollapalooza festival.

Jane's Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell admitted that the new stage had to be built to fit GaGa's set but that it's worth the extra cost.

He said: "We're bringing in a special stage for her, investing like a hundred grand to house what she's doing. That's massive. Only Lady GaGa could step in and say 'I'm a headliner'."

The Lollapalooza Festival takes place August 6th to 8th in Chicago, Illinois.

A source told People.com that Bret Michaels was in excruciating pain just before he went to the emergency room for his brain hemorrhage.

The source said that Bret's headache was so bad, he felt like he was "getting hit in the head with a baseball bat over and over again."

Doctors call that a "thunderclap headache" because of its intensity and suddenness of pain. Those kinds of headaches are a tell-tale symptom of the kind of brain hemorrhage that Bret had.

THE LATEST: BRET MICHAELS' SPEECH SLURRED AFTER BRAIN HEMORRHAGE

Bret Michaels is still in critical condition, but he's conscious and talking with slurred speech after suffering a brain hemorrhage late last week.

Brett was rushed to an undisclosed hospital with a severe headache. Doctors diagnosed a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage, or bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

A statement from his publicists said Bret was still under 24-hour supervision and in critical condition and that doctors were trying to locate the source of the bleeding.

The statement said: "Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete, the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness etc will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal."

A source says LiLo owes credit cards $600,000 and one card cut her off last week and it's only a matter of time before all her other credit cards cut her off too.

While PETA was complaining, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals L.A. said, "It is permissible to hold a kitten by his or her scruff for a brief amount of time". But it warned, "the manner in which Ms. Kardashian is holding the kitten could lead others to mishandle animals."

Kim only held the cat by the scruff for a few seconds -- and did it with the owner and a vet's consent.

ELTON JOHN PERFORMING ON THE "IDOL GIVES BACK" SPECIAL

Elton John will headline "Idol Gives Back" benefit that will give funds to US and international charities that mostly help children. The event happens April 21st on Fox.

Elton will perform on behalf of his AIDS Foundation to raise money and awareness of HIV/AIDS. Other charities that will benefit include Malaria No More, Feeding America, the Children's Health Fund and the United Nations Foundation.

Alicia Keys, Carrie Underwood, the Black Eyed Peas, Annie Lennox and Mary J. Blige are also set to perform.

Former "American Idol" winners and contestants will be featured visiting non-profit organizations working throughout the United States and in Africa. Other musicians are expected to be added as performers in the next few days.

"Idol Gives Back" raised more than $140 million in 2007 and 2008 but wasn't held last year because of the recession.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has also joined the "Idol Gives Back" special as a not-for-profit partner.

A 23-year-old former employee is suing Steven Seagal for sexual harassment and sex trafficking.

The gal (Kayden Nguyen) says she was hired to be Seagal's personal assistant and discovered, "Mr. Seagal had been keeping two young female Russian 'Attendants' on staff who were available for his sexual needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."

Her job was to take over for one of the women. She says Seagal treated her "as his sex toy," sexually and physically assaulting her, forcing her to take illegal pills, and making her watch him have sex with the other woman.

Segal was working as a Reserve Deputy Chief of the Sheriff's Office in the community of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, which, he documented in his A & E reality TV show Steven Seagal: Lawman.

He used Craigslist to hire an executive/personal assistant who could also be on his reality show.

Nguyen was hired in Los Angeles, but then flown to New Orleans to live in Seagal’s house for the show.

On her first night of work, she says, Seagal pushed "his hands under her shirt"... to try and "fondle her bare breast."

Then she claims the next morning things got even worse. He allegedly “forcibly held her legs apart.” Then “forced his hand down her pants…”

The document goes into graphic detail that isn’t suitable for a family show.

After only a few days of work, the woman left the house.

She is suing for damages in excess of $1 million. She’s also calling for a jury trial.
