The U.K. Daily Mail is apologizing for what it now calls an "inaccurate" article about a relationship between David Duchovny and a tennis coach.

The paper says: "On October 19, an article about actor David Duchovny may have suggested he had an amorous relationship with a tennis coach, Edit Pakay.

"We now accept this is inaccurate and Ms. Pakay and Mr. Duchovny are only friends who used to play tennis occasionally. Their relationship went no further and was not a factor in Mr. and Mrs. Duchovny's separation. We apologize to Ms. Pakay, Mr. Duchovny and to Mr. Duchovny's family."

There was no word whether any money (financial damages) will be handed over, since Duchovy filed a $1 million defamation lawsuit.

(GOSSIP) MADONNA'S NEIGHBORS COMPLAIN ABOUT NOISE FROM HER HOME STUDIO

Neighbors in Madonna's Central Park West building have been complaining about noise from the pop star's new music studio, which she carved out of a seventh-floor apartment she battled to buy.

Madge sued her co-op board at the apartments last year when they tried to block her from purchasing an extra apartment in the building, where she already has a residence on the 12th floor.

She won the fight and nabbed the apartment for $7 million in April 2007, with plans to convert it into an office for Guy Ritchie. Now that their marriage is over, Madonna has turned the space into a music studio.

But with all the practicing she's been doing for her current tour, neighbors have gotten several rude awakenings.

One told the NY Post, "They asked her for a schedule of when she would practice, but she hasn't adhered to it. The music is playing at all hours of the night, and the noise from the drums and the bass blares through the walls."

A rep for the singer said, "Madonna does not stay up till all hours of the night ... so I can't imagine there is any validity to this story. She needs her rest. She's a working girl, you know."

Clay Aiken has apparently confirmed that he's gay in the upcoming issue of People magazine.

The cover of the magazine shows a photo of Clay with his new son and the headline, "Yes, I'm Gay".

The subheadline says: "The Idol star opens up about his emotional decision to come out: 'I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things.' "

TRAVIS BARKER AND DJ AM UPDATE

Even though he's had several surgeries for burns over his torso and lower body, drummer Travis Barker is trying to stay positive after the plane crash that killed four people, including two close friends.

Barker's friend and spokesman for his clothing line Famous Stars and Straps, said: "If you make it out of a crash of that magnitude, somebody's looking out for you. He's trying to stay upbeat."

Yesterday, a National Transportation Safety Board spokesman said investigators were collecting evidence from the road the plane crossed before it crashed.

The officer said that when he got there they were on the side of the road and that they were pacing and in shock. He said Travis was very shaken up. Travis was wearing some kind of shorts and no shirt and DJ AM was wearing shorts or boxers too. Travis had one sock on and a black hat on his head."

The recovery from the burns Travis and AM got could take as long as a year.

Kim Kardashian Rushed to ER... (Her Backside Is Fine)

Kim Kardashian cut her foot open in her New York hotel room last night, and was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital.

TMZ reports she cut herself on a glass coffee table, and a source said was "so much blood, it looked like a murder scene."

This could be bad news for "Dancing With the Stars", which makes its official cast announcement this morning. Kim is in town to do press for that and her new movie, "Disaster Movie."

Sources say Kardashian has already begun to practice for the show.

Amanda Bynes in A Car Crash

Amanda Bynes was involved in a minor car accident Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles. There were no major injuries.

Cops said Bynes was "driving a BMW when she made an unsafe turn and another car hit her. It was determined that she was at fault, but no crime was committed."

"The other driver complained of minor injuries. Drugs and alcohol were not involved. It was just a typical car accident. There was no serious damage to either vehicle."

McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds condemned the segment of Madonna's concert in Cardiff on Saturday that seemed to draw a comparison between McCain, Hitler and Zimbabwean strongman Robert Mugabe.

The spokesman said, "The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time. It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits."

Dave Matthews Band Creates Charity Fund In Honor Of Leroi Moore

The Dave Matthews Band has set up a fund to support charities in honor of saxophonist LeRoi Moore. He died unexpectedly on Tuesday of complications from injuries suffered in an ATV accident in June.

Amy Winehouse's mother-in-law says the singer should be behind bars.

Georgette Civil told Britain's News of the World, "Prison will do Amy far more good than rehab.

"The police know Amy is a drug addict - and she has now been caught twice on film taking illegal drugs. They should arrest her and put her behind bars. Amy doesn't want to give up drugs, so she's got to learn the hard way in prison."

The woman says jail helped her son Blake Fielder-Civil kick his notorious drug habit. She says, "Prison worked for Blake. It's the only thing that can now save Amy".

Country sensation Taylor Swift brushed off rumors she is dating Joe Jonas.

Hulk Hogan was interviewed by a Florida TV station, and spoke about his kids.

Brooke and Nick are the loves of his life. They are the reasons he stayed in what he calls a bad marriage for so long.

Hogan says his marriage to Linda Bollea should have ended after three years saying, "I think the first few years we were cool, for me, I hung in there forever because of the kids, some people say that's the wrong thing to do."

The former wrestler says his fans know the real him, and that this interview was his chance to tell his side of the story and answer in-depth questions, after being followed relentlessly by the press during a nasty divorce and a case involving his son, Nick, who sits behind bars in the Pinellas County jail.

Hogan says it's all good, and that he's learned from his mistakes. In fact, life couldn't be better.

The London Sun claims Bale's own mother and sister claim he lost his temper Sunday night at London's Dorchester Hotel.

His mother Jenny, and sister Sharon, went to a police station in Hampshire to lodge the complaint. The matter was referred to the Met Police.

Detectives decided NOT to approach Bale. But they were expected to question him today.

The hardly ever-reliable National Enquirer reports that Jennifer Aniston spends a small fortune each month on beauty treatments.

Ever since the former "Friends" star started dating 30-year-old John Mayer, she started spending huge amounts - about $20,000 a month - on her appearance. A source close to her tells the tabloid: "Jen is doing whatever it takes to hold back time - short of plastic surgery".

Her monthly regimen includes private instruction with top yoga guru Mandy Ingber, and personal training sessions, both done three times a week - at a cost of about $3,000.

Supposedly, Jen also pays a private chef $3,500 a month for organic, high-protein, low-fat meals.

Kevin's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says both Britney and Kevin reached and signed off on a settlement in their custody case today.

The attorney said, "At about 8 p.m. PT, a final settlement in the Kevin Federline-Britney Spears custody case was signed. All parties have agreed to the following: Kevin will retain sole legal and physical custody of (sons) Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney will continue to have visitation rights which may increase over time. The agreement will be presented to the court in the morning for approval by the commissioner."

He adds, "Kevin is ecstatic and the boys are thriving."

Britney currently has monitored visitation with her sons two days a week and one overnight.

Judge Gives Lindsay Lohan A Gold Star

A Los Angeles judge told 22-year-old Lindsay Lohan's attorney that the actress has been meeting the obligations required, as part of her probation from 2007's double-DUI debacle.

At a status hearing, her lawyer (Blair Berk) told an L.A. Superior Court Judge that Lindsay was "completely on track with everything" concerning her plea deal last year on five misdemeanor counts.

Lohan was sentenced last August to 3 years' probation and ordered to perform 10 days of community service, complete drug treatment and attend an 18-month alcohol-education program after pleading guilty to two counts of being under the influence of cocaine and no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.08 percent and a single count of reckless driving.

She also spent 84 minutes in jail out of a mandated 24 hours.

The youngest of the Kardashian sisters, Khloe Kardashian, was sentenced to three days in Los Angeles County jail for violating probation following a DUI arrest.

An L.A. City Attorney spokesman says, "She admitted to failing to complete [roadside cleanup duty] and enroll in an alcohol education class".

Kardashian has until Friday to begin serving her sentence. She was sentenced on July 3.

Kloe was arrested for DUI in March 2007, and was sentenced to three years probation.

Angelina Jolie gave birth to a girl and a boy, around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The doc (Dr. Michel Sussmann) said Angelina, the babies and her partner, Brad Pitt, "are doing marvelously well."

The boy is named Knox Leon, and the girl is Vivienne Marcheline. The boy weighed 5.03 pounds and the girl 5 pounds.

Brad Was 'Very Emotional' at Birth

During the labor and delivery, Brad and Angelina couple "were talking, they were together". The doctor told reporters, "It was an epidural, so [Angelina] was awake and speaking and laughing. They were happy."

Brad never left her side – and even cut the babies' umbilical cords.

The doctor said, "He was ... perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional".

Asked whether the birth had been a textbook delivery, the doc replied, "absolutely no problems."

He said Angelina "will stay for a few days. You know, in Europe it isn't like in the United States, where the patients go home after three days. They will stay a bit longer until everything is okay."

He added: "The babies are fine. The babies are with the mother and father and they are fine."
