The paint store clerk is the next 'American Idol'.

Lee DeWyze was crowned last night, over Crystal Bowersox in the contest's ninth season.

There was just a 2 percent voting gap between them coming into the finale. Lees' victory was based on votes cast after Tuesday's performance show.

The total number of votes cast in the finale weren't announced by host Ryan Seacrest. And Fox didn't explain why.

Could it be... a lack of audience interest in this season's talent?... And lower viewership numbers?

Last night was Simon Cowell's last appearance as a judge. A montage of Simon highlights was shown and comedian Dane Cook came on stage to sing "Simon Says," and to crack a few jokes.

Sandra Bullock will attend the MTV Movie Awards on June 6th to accept the "MTV Generation Award."

The actress hasn't attended any public events since winning her Best Actress Oscar in March after news broke that husband Jesse James cheated on her.

She is the first female recipient to be honored with the award, which acknowledges an actor who has engaged the MTV audience throughout their career.

The panel was discussing Jesse James, and a study showing that women are more likely than men to check their lover's e-mails, text messages.

J-Love said, "I was cheated on," and she admitted she monitored e-mails and text messages of her unfaithful boyfriend. She "was really curious to know."

The actress found that her boyfriend of two years had been unfaithful for a year-and-a-half of the relationship. She said she didn't regret finding out, as it likely saved her another wasted year in the relationship.

Justin Bieber is denying that he told an Australian television producer to "never f*cking touch me again" during a trip down under last month.

The rumor was that Justin lashed out at the floor manager during the TV show "Sunrise."

But Justin went on Twitter to set the record straight.

Kelly Clarkson is working with Ryan Tedder again!

Ryan and Kelly had a famous war of the words after Kelly claimed Ryan wrote the same song for her ("Already Gone") and Beyonce ("Halo).

Now he claims he's busy working on new tracks for her upcoming album.

Ryan said: "I'm working on stuff for her next album and am personally over any of the drama between the two of us. It's silly. ‘Already Gone' is now a bigger hit than ‘Halo' was, so I think she's probably happy, too."

Ryan also talked about Kelly's new song, "Wash Rinse Repeat", which is allegedly about Ryan himself.

He said: "I'm pretty sure that song was 'somewhat' about me and her record label. But I actually like it. I think Kelly speaks her mind regardless of anything. She's great with lyrics, and I love that she is her own person. She's no puppet."
