Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 million for educational aid to children impacted by the Iraq war in that country. and in the United States. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $500,000 to three groups in the war-torn country which will provide aid for some 5,700 children.

Money will pay for basic necessities, including books and supplies to help send Iraqi children to school. Aid will also go to refugee kids, and to school rehabilitation programs.

The foundation also gave $500,000 to help children in the United States who have a military parent killed in Iraq, or who are separated from a parent stationed in the country.

The donation for U.S. kids will go to the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, which will provide educational tutors and counseling to 2,500 kids.

An L.A. Superior Court spokesman said "any judge is pleased to see progress being made by parties in a case".

The former couple face a custody trial in August, unless they can settle their case amicably out of court. Their next hearing is set for July 15.

Sources tell gossip blogs that former "Lost" co-stars Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan are set to marry.

They split briefly earlier this year. Now, creative tabloid reports claim they're planning a quiet ceremony in Hawaii, as a tribute to the hit TV show.

A source said: "Evangeline and Dominic have been spending a lot of time together during the show's hiatus and are very excited about the future.

"Evangeline accepted Dom's proposal while they were away together and they both agree Hawaii is the perfect place for the wedding - both as a location and for sentimental reasons."

Anger And Hatred of Heath's Will?

The late Heath Ledger's father, Kim, mother, Emma, and other family members are flying in for the "Dark Knight" premiere on July 14 - but sources say his ex, Michelle Williams, or daughter, Matilda, will not be there.

An insider tells the NY Post, "Michelle is furious with Heath's family and threatening to boycott the premiere. Matilda is supposed to be the beneficiary of the will, but Michelle has seen nothing from them. The 24-year-old singer was rushed to the hospital last Monday after fainting in her London home. Tests so far have ruled out tuberculosis, but her father says his daughter has serious health problems.

Mitch Winehouse tells the Sunday Mirror in the U.K.: "When we got to the hospital a room was ready. Several doctors came in and checked to make sure she didn't need any emergency treatment. They put her on a drip straight away because she was dehydrated. She said, 'Don't worry about me, dad. I know I've got to stop taking drugs now.'"

Smackdown: Hulk Hogan's wife wants him in Jail!

Hulk Hogan's estranged wife is asking a Florida judge to lock up the wrestler for allegedly not paying his share of a $4.2 million Las Vegas condo. A court order requires them to share the purchase of the condo at The Palms hotel and spa.

Linda Bollea is asking that Hogan be jailed in Pinellas County. That's where the couple's son is serving an eight-month sentence after pleading no contest to causing a crash that seriously injured his friend.

A source said, "It's extremely graphic and devastating. He wrote it on the sly without telling Madonna. They want to put it out before her lawyers can get a hold of it."

If you have seen the "Sex and the City" movie, and want to grab a copy of the book Carrie reads while in bed with Mr. Big... forget it. "Love Letters of Great Men" doesn't exist.

The closest text in the real world apparently is "Love Letters of Great Men and Women: From the Eighteenth Century to the Present Day". That book was first released in the 1920s and reissued last year (by Kessinger Publishing).

The press manager for AbeBooks.com, an online seller that features used titles, says that he has received hundreds of questions about the book.

Enough readers have been directed to the Kessinger anthology, that yesterday, it ranked No. 134 on Amazon.com on Tuesday.

On the receiving end of a wave of highly negative publicity, Hulk Hogan went into damage control mode last night on CNN’s Larry King Live. Actress Tori Spelling and hubby Dean McDermott welcomed their second child together, daughter Stella Doreen McDermott.

The baby was delivered via C-section yesterday afternoon at LA's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, weighing in at 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 19 and 3/4 inches long.

The family of four also includes 15-month-old Liam Aaron McDermott. Dean also has a son from a previous marriage.

Court Rejects Britney's Conservatorship Appeal

A court rejected the latest appeal filed on behalf of Britney Spears to have her conservatorship overturned.

A California appellate court ruled in Los Angeles that the motion was not filed with correct procedures and therefore the appeal was denied. 26-year-old Britney is seeking to have a court reverse the current conservatorship of her father, James Spears.
