Miss Venezuela was crowned Miss Universe 2008.

But for the second year in a row, Miss USA fell down during the evening gown competion.

22 year-old Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza, was once kidnapped in her homeland. She says the experience taught her to remain poised under pressure.

As for this year's Miss USA tumble, Crystle Steward of Texas tripped on the train of her evening gown as she made her entrance.

You might recall, during the 2007 Miss Universe contest in Mexico City, Miss USA Rachel Smith also tumbled during the evening gown competition.

Like Smith, Stewart quickly stood up after her fall and continued on as if nothing had happened.

Her mishap occurred just after the judges had narrowed the field of 80 to the final 10: Miss USA, Miss Kosovo, Miss Australia, Miss Spain, Miss Mexico, Miss Colombia, Miss USA, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Russia, Miss Italy and Miss Venezuela.

The world's most famous twins Have Hatched.. A Boy and Girl for Brangelina

Angelina Jolie gave birth to a girl and a boy, around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The doc (Dr. Michel Sussmann) said Angelina, the babies and her partner, Brad Pitt, "are doing marvelously well."

The boy is named Knox Leon, and the girl is Vivienne Marcheline. The boy weighed 5.03 pounds and the girl 5 pounds.

Brad Was 'Very Emotional' at Birth

During the labor and delivery, Brad and Angelina couple "were talking, they were together". The doctor told reporters, "It was an epidural, so [Angelina] was awake and speaking and laughing. They were happy."

Brad never left her side – and even cut the babies' umbilical cords.

The doctor said, "He was ... perfectly calm, totally determined, very pleased to be at the birth of his children, very moved and very emotional".

Asked whether the birth had been a textbook delivery, the doc replied, "absolutely no problems."

He said Angelina "will stay for a few days. You know, in Europe it isn't like in the United States, where the patients go home after three days. They will stay a bit longer until everything is okay."

He added: "The babies are fine. The babies are with the mother and father and they are fine."

Madonna reached out to Britney Spears and this weekend Britney was set to film video footage that will appear on the big screens on Madonna's "Sticky and Sweet" tour. Madonna also wants Britney to perform in person for several of her concert dates.

A man has sued Eminem claiming the rapper punched him two years ago while they were in the bathroom of a Detroit strip club.

The man (Miad Jarbou) filed the lawsuit seeking more than $25,000 in damages. The suit claims Eminem punched him July 13th, 2006, at Cheetah's On the Strip Gentlemen's Club.

Christie Brinkley forgives Husband's Mistress... (Could You?)

Christina Brinkley's divorce trial from Peter Cook is getting ugly, yet she is still forgiving her husband’s former teenage mistress.

After a long day on the witness stand, Brinkley told reporters she wanted to let Diana Bianchi know that she forgives her.

She said, "I'd just like to say after two days of testimony that I can't help but think about Diana Bianchi, and I want her and her family to know that I feel really badly for them. I feel bad for her and I forgive her completely."

A source says that on Wednesday, Bianchi approached Brinkley's daughter Alexa Joel outside the courtroom and apologized.

"Diana said, 'I am sorry for the pain I have caused you and your family...'. Alexa then hugged her and said, 'We have all been through a lot.'"

Brinkley also added of Thursday's testimony, "today was really difficult reliving all the horrors (of what happened two years ago)."

The trial is expected to resume today and the focus will shift to the issue of custody of the couple's two children. Both Brinkley and Cook are seeking sole custody.

Brinkley's lawyer countered saying, "I still don't understand why we have to go through this. I guess this is what (Cook) wants."

London's MailOnline has this doozy of a rumor-- that the highly anticipated film production of "Friends", the classic NBC TV series, has finally been given the go-ahead.

The tabloid site claims cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer will reprise their roles for a big-screen adaptation 'within the next 18 months'.

Insiders claim the actors have been inspired by the recent success of "Sex And The City: The Movie".

A source said: 'Jennifer, Courteney and the rest of the cast are keen to reprise their roles, under the right circumstances. The box office success of Sex And The City has really got their wheels spinning about how a Friends film could be just as big, if done right.

Go Have A Happy 4th Of July-- Brangelina's Babies Could Be Weeks Away

Brad Pitt showed up yesterday at the hspital in Nice, southern France where his partner Angelina Jolie has checked in for the birth of their twins.

The doctor caring for Angelina said at a press conference that his patient is doing fine. Asked when the twins are expected, he replied "in the weeks to come."

Saying that Angelina's "very, very nice," the doctor added, "She will stay in the hospital until the birth. I will stay with her." When asked to be more specific about the due date, he said, "This is something you can't program, you never know for sure."

Local French newspaper (Nice Matin) reports that Angelina has the best room in the hospital, on the fifth floor with an "unobstructed view" over Nice's Bay of Angels. She arrived by helicopter, landing Sunday afternoon on the hospital's roof. The actress has reserved four rooms on the maternity ward, with a bodyguard keeping watch.

Meanwhile, veteran British celebrity publicist Max Clifford said earlier this week that first photos of the twins could fetch millions.

He said, "France has got very, very strict privacy laws, which gives them far greater chance of controlling everything and making sure no one gets some sneaky photos. But of course the stakes are high and this is probably going to be the most expensive set of baby pictures in history."

Follow-up now, on that creepy sex tape featuring 'Mini-Me' actor Verne Troyer.

It had been taken down when Verne went to court and filed a filed a $20 million lawsuit claiming TMZ violated his rights by publishing and airing portions of the tape.

Well, now, the woman in a sex tape - Verne's ex-girlfriend, Ranae Shrider - told a judge she was the one who allowed TMZ to broadcast snippets of the tape. And so the tape is back up.

The judge has still barred a porn distributor named in Toyer's suit from distributing or taking orders for the 50-minute tape.

TMZ reports she's asking for a minimum $25,000. And a deal may have already been struck and the flick could go wide as early as next week.

OK! mag has posted pics of Lindsay Lohan's supposed step-sister, and the woman who was Michael Lohan's ex sex partner.

Kristi Kaufmann and daughter Ashley claim that the father of actress Lindsay Lohan is Ashley's dad.

Lindsay Lohan's dad took a DNA test yesterday to find out if he's the father of a Montana teen reported to be the star's secret half-sister - but if he is, he won't force his famous brood to welcome her to the family.

"It was a swab, a paternity test," Michael Lohan told The Post yesterday, just as the first pictures of his alleged 13-year-old love child, Ashley, were made public.

Brunette Ashley has Michael's eyes - and the same trademark sprinkle of freckles across her nose as Lindsay.

Michael Lohan last week admitted he had a fling with Ashley's mom, 44-year-old Montana massage therapist Kristi Kaufmann, in 1995, when he was separated from Lindsay's mom, Dina.

But he still doubts Kaufmann's claims that the girl is his.

"If the test is found to be negative she's gonna be sued for libel and defamation," he said.

Michael Lohan said he didn't know Ashley existed until Kaufmann - whom he first met in 1982 in Houston, Texas - contacted him while he was serving prison time in 2005 for DUI and other charges.

"She contacted me and said she had a paternity test with her ex-husband and it was negative and she believed the child was mine," said Lohan.

"She said I was the only one she was with but I find that hard to believe," he added.

"She was with a number of men after me and was going through a second divorce right now."

Lohan, who said he expects the test results back in two weeks, is furious that Kaufmann went to the media with her allegations.

"Even if the test is positive, I have nothing to say to her because of the way she handled this," he said.

"How can someone say I have another child when no testing has been done?" Lohan asked.

"Why did she wait so long? Is it because she wants money? Or is it because she wants to claim that Ashley is my children's sister?"

Lohan said Kaufmann's claims that she wants Ashley to meet Lindsay, as well as Michael's younger daughter, reality show star Ali, 14, struck him as odd.

"She said she wants her daughter to have a relationship with my kids - especially Lindsay and Ali - and that's pretty sick," Lohan said.

"I will never force my children to meet with Ashley."

He also said that he "doesn't plan on discussing" his DNA test with his children until after the results are in.

Lohan said he has asked his lawyer to send Kaufmann a letter asking her to stop discussing the situation publicly.

Last week, Kaufmann said Ashley is "angry" that Michael has refused to acknowledge her. She also claims Lohan sent Ashley a picture of himself from prison - signing it "Love Daddy" - and called her on her 13th birthday earlier this month.

Kaufmann did not return calls.

Angelina Jolie had supposedly checked in to a French hospital to be kept under doctors' surveillance and get some rest before she gives birth.

A hospital spokeswoman said, "There's no urgency. It's been planned for a long time. She's very well. Everything is fine."

"She is not on the verge of giving birth, not at all. It's not for right away."

Sources figured Angelina will remain in the hospital until she gives birth.

Angelina's Los Angeles spokesman said in an e-mail to Reuters that she is "doing great, very healthy and happy," but he wouldn't elaborate or confirm her medical treatment.

Forget the oysters. Texas A&M scientists say watermelon contains ingredients that deliver Viagra-like effects to the body's blood vessels and may even increase the libido.

Researchers from Texas A&M have long-studied the fruit and found that it contains natural "enhancers" to the human body.

"We've always known that watermelon is good for you, but the list of its very important healthful benefits grows longer with each study," said Dr. Bhimu Patil, director of Texas A&M's Fruit and Vegetable Improvement Center, in a news release from the university.

Watermelon and some other fruits and vegetables contain phyto-nutrients, including lycopene, beta carotene and citrulline, which are compounds that produce healthy reactions in the body, Patil said.

Specifically, scientists believe it's the citrulline that has the ability to relax blood vessels, much like Viagra does.

When watermelon is consumed, citrulline is converted into the amino acid arginine, which works “wonders on the heart and circulation system, and maintains a good immune system,” Patil said.

"Watermelon may not be as organ specific as Viagra," he said, "but it's a great way to relax blood vessels without any drug side-effects."

The highest concentrations of citrulline are found in the rind of the watermelon. Because the rind is not commonly eaten, Texas A&M researchers Steve King and Hae Jeen Bang are working to produce watermelon hybrids that would bring higher concentrations of citrulline to the flesh of the fruit.

The London resident Amy Winehouse socked has a name. He's James Gostelow, a 25-year-old who was punched by Winehouse at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday night.

SHOWBIZ SPOTLIGHT Since They Can't Adopt Every Little one... Brangelina give $1 mln to kids impacted by war

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 million for educational aid to children impacted by the Iraq war in that country. and in the United States. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $500,000 to three groups in the war-torn country which will provide aid for some 5,700 children.

Money will pay for basic necessities, including books and supplies to help send Iraqi children to school. Aid will also go to refugee kids, and to school rehabilitation programs.

The foundation also gave $500,000 to help children in the United States who have a military parent killed in Iraq, or who are separated from a parent stationed in the country.

The donation for U.S. kids will go to the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, which will provide educational tutors and counseling to 2,500 kids.
