Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol Palin and Bristol's baby-daddy Levi Johnston are engaged.
The couple got engaged two weeks ago but didn’t tell their parents until this week when they told Us Weekly.
They said it feels right to get married even if they don’t have the approval of their parents. (Even after all the bad things HE said about the Palin family?)
The couple has an 18-month-old son together.

ESPN held its annual ESPY Awards, last night.
Drew Brees was the big winner, collecting four trophies, including male athlete of the year.
The New Orleans Saints quarterback also won best championship performance, NFL player and shared the team award with his Super Bowl champion colleagues.
Brees was chosen male athlete over Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Jimmie Johnson and Albert Pujols. All but LeBron picked up trophies in other categories.
Gold medal-winning skier Lindsey Vonn won female athlete of the year, beating out Serena Williams and basketball players Maya Moore of Connecticut and Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury.
Vonn was also chosen best female Olympian.
Landon Donovan of the U.S. national soccer team picked up three trophies, for best moment in a World Cup game against Algeria, best MLS player and the performance under pressure award. .
Phil Mickelson ended Tiger Woods' five-year run as best male golfer.
Phil Jackson of the two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers was named best coach, while Kobe Bryant won best NBA player.
(LeBron James was booed when a montage of male athlete nominees was shown. He didn't attend the 18th annual awards.)
Last night's show was hosted by "Saturday Night Live" comic Seth Meyers and aired live on ESPN from the Nokia Theatre. Meyers worked some jokes about Tiger's sex scandal into his monologue.
He joked: "We all know which free agent is making the most money this summer - Elin Nordegren," referring to the golfer's estranged wife.
Actors Steve Carell and Paul Rudd spoofed LeBron James' hour-long decision special on ESPN in a pre-taped bit that ended with Carell announcing he had chosen to eat dinner at Outback instead of his longtime haunt Chili's.
Meyers closed the show by saying, "Stay tuned to ESPN for an encore presentation of LeBron James' 'The Decision.'"
BTW: The Arthur Ashe Courage award went to the Ed Thomas family of Parkersburg, Iowa, for their courage to forgive. In June 2009, Thomas was shot and killed in the high school football team's locker room by Mark Becker, one of his former players. Brett Favre presented the award to Thomas' wife Jan and sons Aaron and Todd.

Researchers say they found evidence that the female brain is more capable of remembering information, than the male's.
Scientists (at Cambridge University) found a clear link between factors, like.... sex, education level and memory function.
The study carried out a number of memory tests on almost 4,500 men and women.
The preliminary results show that women's memories function better than men, with women making an average of 5.9 fewer errors on a specific test of memory than men.
(This difference remains, regardless of age.)
The findings may help scientists to further understand the causes of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.... and possibly help detect the earliest signs of dementia more accurately.

The love affair of Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton will be brought to the big screen, and Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta-Jones are said to be interested in playing Liz Taylor, while Russell Crowe, Clive Owen and Colin Farrell have considered playing Burton.
The film will be based on the book, Furious Love: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and the Marriage of the Century.
Taylor herself gave access to never-before-seen materials to the duo during their book research, including Burton's love letters to her. They were also given an unpublished first draft of Taylor's 1965 autobiography, plus a portfolio of the screen icon's favorite personal photographs.
RYAN REYNOLDS INJURED ON SET OF GREEN LANTERN [2010-07-15 01:00:00]
Ryan Reynolds was injured on the set of "The Green Lantern" in New Orleans on Monday.
The actor was shooting scenes for the DC Comics action flick when separated his shoulder. A source says he is in lots of pain and has been keeping ice on it.
Reynolds plays the hero in the movie. The movie is expected to be released in June of next year.

Shaquille O'Neal's second season of "Shaq Vs." will include Justin Bieber taking on the basketball legend in his reality competition series.
Shaq will visit the 16-year-old pop star and join in a dance crew competition.
The second season of "Shaq Vs." will take the focus off athletic competitions. O'Neal will have a cook-off with Rachael Ray and a hot-dog-eating contest with competitive eating champion Joey Chestnut.
He will also race Dale Earnhardt Jr., try magic with Penn & Teller and box Sugar Shane Mosley.
Shaq says: "I'm out to prove that I can compete beyond athletics. ... There's no challenge bigger than me."
The second season premieres Aug. 3.

Word has it, Angelina Pivarnick is leaving MTV's "Jersey Shore".
Sources say (to RadarOnline.com) that her time on the show is "done," and she would not return to finish shooting the second half of the second season which moves production from Miami back to New Jersey.
Apparently, Angelina "has never gotten along with the Jersey Shore cast"... though, "it was Angelina's decision to leave."
