(According to gossip columnist Janet Charlton)

The very-single Kate Hudson has a second baby on her own.

She's 31 and really wants a sibling for 6 year old Ryder, so Kate consulted a fertility doctor to learn her options as a single mom.

She really doesn't want to use an anonymous sperm donor, but she's hesitant to ask a friend to father her baby. And it's not easy to decide WHICH friend would be suitable.

Sources say, whatever her decision, she hopes to be pregnant before the end of the year.

Rihanna moved on and met L.A. Dodger Matt Kemp.

She said: "I'm so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it's so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, talking to him and talking to my family."

THE DIRECTOR OF LADY GAGA'S "ALEJANDRO" VIDEO DEFENDS THE RELIGIOUS SYMBOLISM [2010-06-10 01:00:00]

Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" video has already gotten itself involved in plenty of controversy, especially over the use of religious symbolism.

The video's director, Steven Klein. Defended the video and said: "The religious symbolism is not meant to denote anything negative, but represents the character's battle between the dark forces of this world and the spiritual salvation of the Soul."

"Thus at the end of the film, she chooses to be a nun, and the reason her mouth and eyes disappear is because she is withdrawing her senses from the world of evil and going inward towards prayer and contemplation. Gaga's scene in which she ingests the rosary beads is meant to represent the desire to take in the holy."

SHERYL CROW TEAMING UP WITH KEITH RICHARDS AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE FOR HER NEW ALBUM [2010-06-10 01:00:00]

For her new album, "100 Miles From Memphis", Sheryl Crow hooked up with artists like Keith Richards and Justin Timberlake because she wanted to add a little more "soul" to her music.

She said: "The timing of it was perfect. I've always had a lot of people around me encouraging me to really get back to my roots. I was a kid that grew up listening to the radio; we'd tune the transistors to pick up the Memphis stations, and that kind of music was just a part of our consciousness. It just was a perfect time to go full-throttle with it."

Keith Richards is featured on a track called "Eye to Eye," while Timberlake does an Al Green-style version of Terence Trent D'Arby's "Sign Your Name".

Talking about Justin, Sheryl said: "I've always liked him. I played the song for him, and when it got to the chorus he's like, 'Who's doing the backgrounds?' I said 'We haven't done them yet,' and he said, 'I got it.' It was all very organic and, man, perfect. People have no idea how talented this guy is."

Another surprise is Sheryl doing a cover of the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back". People may remember Sheryl was a backing singer on Michael Jackson's 1988 world tour.

She said: "We were recording an unreleased track by Marvin Gaye called 'Desperate Situation' and it was in that range so I just busted into 'I Want You Back' and the band followed, and when it was done everyone was like, 'What in the world?! We've got to put that on the album!' It's definitely an homage; the Jackson 5 was the first album I ever owned and the guy gave me my first job in the business and was incredibly generous with his talent with me."

The album drops July 20th. Sheryl will hit the road for the summer starting on June 11th. She'll also perform at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival on June 26th and will play five Lilith Fair dates in July.
