Clay Aiken has apparently confirmed that he's gay in the upcoming issue of People magazine.
The cover of the magazine shows a photo of Clay with his new son and the headline, "Yes, I'm Gay".
The subheadline says: "The Idol star opens up about his emotional decision to come out: 'I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things.' "
A statement from People magazine was posted saying only: "We can confirm that Clay Aiken and his son are featured on the next issue of People. For the complete story, please visit www.people.com at 7 a.m. [Wednesday]."
TRAVIS BARKER AND DJ AM UPDATE
Even though he's had several surgeries for burns over his torso and lower body, drummer Travis Barker is trying to stay positive after the plane crash that killed four people, including two close friends.
Barker's friend and spokesman for his clothing line Famous Stars and Straps, said: "If you make it out of a crash of that magnitude, somebody's looking out for you. He's trying to stay upbeat."
Yesterday, a National Transportation Safety Board spokesman said investigators were collecting evidence from the road the plane crossed before it crashed.

So how did Travis Barker and DJ AM survive the plane crash that killed four people?
According to one of the first police officers on the scene, Travis and DJ AM slid down the wing on the right side of the plane. They said they were on fire and that they tackled each other and put each other out.
The officer said that when he got there they were on the side of the road and that they were pacing and in shock. He said Travis was very shaken up. Travis was wearing some kind of shorts and no shirt and DJ AM was wearing shorts or boxers too. Travis had one sock on and a black hat on his head."
The recovery from the burns Travis and AM got could take as long as a year.
