Lindsay Lohan may actually not get jail time for one of her failed drug tests.

Sources say the second test Lindsay failed was for Adderall-- but the Probation Department is not recommending jail time because there is an uncertainty in the paperwork that went from the court to the Probation Office.

But the Probation Department is recommending 30 days jail time for the first failed drug test which showed a positive reading for cocaine.

Supposedly, producers behind Lindsay Lohan's new movie "Inferno" are adding a "sobriety clause" to her contract to make sure she behaves on set.

She is due back in court on Friday and is reportedly facing another stint in jail.

Inferno producer Chris Hanley says execs have made sure her contract now contains a specific "sobriety clause".

Hanley tells E! News, "Formally, the terms of the acting services agreement would be such that Lindsay would not violate any obligation she would have to fulfill with the court, with her probation, or with the production insurance... Informally, as far as I am concerned that would include being 100 per cent sober, yes. The actual contractual wording would be more legal to include making sure the movie production would not be compromised in any way."

Lindsay Lohan has been advised by close friends and advisors that she needs to put her career on hold and focus on her intense disease of drug addiction.

Shooting for her latest film, "Inferno" is supposed to start in 45 days, and Lohan plans on being there for it. Her friends feel like she needs to get out of Hollywood and out of the spotlight if she wants to heal. If she wants a true career and to get back to normal, she needs to focus totally on herself and a comeback.

Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson were 'officially' announced as the new "American Idol" judges panel.

Fox finally made the official announcement at a Los Angeles press event, which was also streamed on the show's website and Facebook page Wednesday. Host Ryan Seacrest introduced the panel.

For its 10th season, Randy Jackson will be the only returning judge. Tyler and Lopez will fill the vacant seats of Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres.

The 10th season of "Idol" will start in January.

LINDSAY LOHAN'S PROBATION REVOKED, WARRANT ISSUED, JAIL CELL BEING PREPPED?

Lindsay Lohan's probation has been revoked and a bench warrant has been issued for her arrest after she failed two random drug tests.

But she won’t be arrested just yet… the bench warrant is being held until Friday morning when the actress is due to appear in court.

Judge Elden Fox warned the actress that is she failed a drug test she would get 30 days in jail.

Lohan tweeted that she failed the drug tests and she is ready to face the consequences.

The terms of the settlement weren’t released but sources say Lindsay is very happy with the deal.

Paris Hilton admitted yesterday that she had cocaine in her purse and pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges stemming from her arrest last month at a Las Vegas hotel-casino.

She will serve a year of probation and avoid a felony charge under the terms of a plea deal worked out with prosecutors. The celebrity heiress pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer.

Hilton must complete a drug abuse program, pay a $2,000 fine and serve 200 hours of community service.

BTW: The judge told Paris she has been given a one-year suspended sentence, which means if she is arrested for anything other than a minor traffic violation, she will spend a year behind bars. The judge then warned her, "The Clark County Detention Center is not the Waldorf Astoria."

Oprah Winfrey will give a total of $6 million to six educational organizations that help to turn around troubled U.S. schools.

The award will be given by Oprah's Angel Network. (It comes as Winfrey devoted two days of her influential TV program to the issue of public schooling.)

The winning organizations are based in Philadelphia, California, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana and Texas.

Oprah's Angle Network charitable organization described them as "ground-breaking leaders in the provision of quality public education."

(Yesterday, Oprah hosted a panel of education reform advocates including Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Davis Guggenheim, the director of the upcoming documentary film "Waiting for Superman". The film follows five children who enter a lottery to win a place in a high-performing school.)

Despite buzz that she would be in the audience, Sarah Palin was not in the ABC ballroom to see daughter Bristol make her Dancing With The Stars debut last night.

Bristol came out wearing a skirt suit with her hair up, and after a few seconds, ripped off the outfit to reveal a short, spangly, red halter dress to dance a Cha Cha Cha to "Mama Told Me Not To Come" with partner Mark Ballas.

Completely outdancing everyone was Jennifer Grey, whose Viennese Waltz was "great," so said tough judge Len Goodman.

Margaret Cho confused the judges by trying to inject comedy into her waltz. And The Situation disappointed with his not-so-great moves, but claimed he just didn't have enough rehearsal time because he was finishing up "Jersey Shore".

LINDSAY LOHAN 'BLOWS' IT.... FAILS A DRUG TEST

After reports that she was nabbed doing cocaine, Lindsay Lohan went on Twitter to admit that she failed a drug test, and she says she is ready to face the consequences.

TMZ broke the story that the actress failed two drug testsm and tested positive for cocaine. At first, she denied the story.

But on Friday night she tweeted: "Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result."

She also wrote “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day.”

The judge in her case said if she failed a drug test she would get 30 days in jail.

Lohan is expected to be in court this week to answer the failed drug tests.

Lindsay Lohan was set to star in "Inferno," a biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace. The movie is set to film in Louisiana but since she failed the drug test the judge may restrict her travel.

Sources say the people in charge of the movie are "beyond irritated by the recent developments" and "there is a concern of her commitment to the work."

Russell Brand was arrested after he attacked a photographer at the Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.

Brand and fiancée Katy Perry were heading to Las Vegas when photographers started taking pictures of them.

The British funnyman started pushing and hitting the photogs, so, one put him under citizen’s arrest. He was interviewed by airport police and arrested for battery.

He was released on $20,000 bail.

Moss won competitions and formed bonds with the other houseguests while always staying loyal to The Brigade alliance.

Besides the $500,000 prize, Moss may have also won a date with 24-year-old boutique manager Kristen Bitting from Philadelphia. Moss and Bitting kept their fling in the house a secret from most of the contestants.

"AMERICAN IDOL" OPENS NEW AUDITIONS--ON MYSPACE!

The first online auditions for "American Idol" are open.

Pop star wanna-bes now have the chance to submit an audition video on MySpace. It's all to commemorate the show's 10^th anniversary. Auditions are being taken until October 6th.

The entries must be no longer than 40 seconds and chosen from a list of songs posted online. A "select number" of people will move on to a tryout in Los Angeles.

The show's next season starts in January.

Lady Gaga told Ellen DeGeneres that her now famous meat dress shouldn't be interpreted as a message against animal rights.

Gaga explained that the meat dress was tied to her protest against the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy and that it was a statement against the governmental restrictions placed on the rights of gay soldiers.

She said: "It's certainly no disrespect to anyone that's vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I'm the most judgment-free human being on the Earth. It has many interpretations, but for me this evening it's saying, 'If we don't stand up for what we believe in, if we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones.' According to RadarOnline.com, there's a part in the book that explains why Gaga canceled her tour with Kanye West last summer.

A source inside Kanye's camp told author Maureen Callahan: "He's a grade-A disaster, a mess. If his name is on it, no one will touch it."

There was also the combination of Ye's VMA stunt with Taylor Swift and one of Gaga's top staffers threatening to quit if she went ahead with the tour. That finally led Gaga to call it off.

The book also describes Gaga as a control freak who has fired over 150 people in the last two years.

Another part of the book talks about Gaga's attraction to a former assistant, who happened to be the wife an ex tour manager.

The book says: "In reality, she wound up sleeping with Gaga more often than her own husband. She says there was nothing sexual about it; Gaga couldn't sleep without someone next to her in bed. Around the time she had been hired, Gaga and her boyfriend had broken up. She kept him on her team, though and kept things as professional as possible. For the most part, she struggled."

"She tried to help. She says she assumed an 'older sister' role with Gaga. They literally would do their make-up together every morning and get ready for bed together at night. They'd also take showers together because they'd have so little time to get out the door in the morning. But it was also, she says, a way to bond."

LADY GAGA SWEEPS THE MTV VMA'S...TAYLOR SINGS TO KANYE...AND MORE!

The highlight of the MTV Video Music Awards was when Taylor Swift accepted Kanye West's apology and Kanye beat himself up as well.

As for the awards themselves, Lady Gaga's swept the show by winning all eight awards she was nominated for. One of the moonmen was for video of the year for "Bad Romance."

Kanye didn't address the drama from last year directly, but he rapped and sang a song that mocked his behavior.

In his song, "Runaway", he said: "I always find something wrong; you've been putting up with my (expletive) for too long. Let's have a toast to scumbags."

Taylor Swift offered an olive branch with her song "Innocent". She sang: "Everyone of us has messed up, too. I hope you remember today is never too late to be brand new. Thirty-two and still growing up now; who you are is not what you did. You're still an innocent."

Gaga accepted her video of the year award with a dress and chapeau made of what looked like cuts of raw beef, including a meat purse. It was one of her three outfits of the evening.

Cher gave Gaga one award and when she accepted the last award, she sang the title of her new album: "Born This Way."

Other performances of the night included Usher, Eminem and Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Linkin Park.

When Lady Gaga accepted her award for Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs, she wore an outfit made out of cuts of meat.

After Cher handed her the award, she said: "I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse."

With tears streaming down her face, she thanked her fans before revealing the title of her third album, "Born This Way."

She then sang a few bars of the title track's chorus: "How beautiful in my way, cause God makes no mistakes. I'm on the right track. Baby, I was born this way."

DETAILS ON J-LO'S FOX CONTRACT

There are details in Jennifer Lopez's contract with Fox, which includes her gig as a judge on "American Idol".

Jennifer had been negotiating for a guaranteed "go" motion picture and TV pilot contract at Fox to go with the $15 million for judging "American Idol". But the powers-that-be at Idol said no way.

J-Lo eventually got a Fox deal but with no film/TV commitments. She also tried to hold out for the $15 million Idol paycheck but couldn't get it. She wound up getting $12 million.

Also, one reason the announcement of American Idol's new judges has been delayed is that Jennifer asked that it coincide with Island Def Jam's dropping her first single in mid-September.

Kara DioGuardi has quit “American Idol”. Her reps claim she wasn’t fired from the show.

The 39-year-old songwriter confirmed she is leaving the show… two months after it was reported that she was fired.

She said she felt like it was the best time to leave the show and she had an amazing experience being a judge.

Kara joined the show in 2008 as the program's fourth judge. Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres have also quit after this past season.

'WORKING GIRLS' HAVE ISSUES WITH HILTON'S QUICK JAIL RELEASE

Las Vegas police were forced to defend releasing Paris Hilton from jail after her Aug. 27 arrest, in half the time it normally takes cops to release 'working girls'.

Hilton was arrested suspicion of cocaine possession. Cops say they wanted to avoid disruptions in the jail's operations.

Hilton was out of the jail in about three hours, roughly half the average time it takes to process people facing the same charge through the Clark County Detention Center.

Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief says there was a crowd of about 100 people gathered outside the Wynn Las Vegas resort to snap photos and shoot video of Hilton while her boyfriend, Cy Waits, was pulled over and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

He says, "Yeah, she was treated differently so I don't have a disruption of my process here at the county jail. When you bring somebody in like that, everybody comes over and tries to look at them. I'd have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her. I'd have disruptions."

But a Bail Bonds spokeswoman was bothered by Hilton's quick release. Her clients are mostly "working girls" arrested for nonviolent soliciting or trespassing, and she said the average booking time on those charges is four to 12 hours, followed by another four to 12 hours until release.

In her mind, "If you're alleged to commit a crime, you get treated like everybody else."

Kanye West shoed millions of fans that he's still feeling the pain over the Taylor Swift drama last year. That's because he expressed that pain all over Twitter.

Kanye went on a Twitter rant of emotions where he once again acknowledged that he was wrong for jumping on stage at the MTV Music Awards, grabbing the microphone from Taylor, then saying her trophy should have gone to Beyonce.

Kanye explained he experienced enormous pain, was the subject of death wishes and suffered a tremendous setback to his career.

He Tweeted: "How deep is the scar...I bled hard...cancelled tour with the number one pop star in the world...closed the doors of my clothing office. I'm the guy who at one point could perform the Justin Timberlake on stage and everyone would be sooo happy that I was there."

GOOD NEWS FROM MICHAEL DOUGLAS: HE'LL BEAT CANCER Actor Michael Douglas says he's expecting an "eight-week struggle" against throat cancer but he expects to beat it.

He told David Letterman he had just finished his first week of radiation and chemotherapy.

The disease was diagnosed three weeks ago, although he had complained of a very sore throat earlier this year and had undergone testing that never found a cause.

The 65 year-old Douglas said the cancer remains above the neck and that means expectations are good, with an 80 percent or better chance of recovery.

(Douglas stars in the upcoming film "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps," a sequel to "Wall Street" (1987), for which he won a best-actor Oscar.)

1. You Shouldn't Cut Off the Bread's Crust. It's Full of Vitamins.

3. If You Cross Your Eyes, They'll Stay That Way.

The truth is: There's no harm in eye crossing. But if a child is doing this a lot, they might have other vision problems.

4. You Should Feed a Cold and Starve a Fever.

The truth is: In both cases, eat and drink, then drink some more. Staying hydrated is the most important thing to do, because you lose a lot of fluids when you're sick. There's no need for special beverages with electrolytes unless you're severely dehydrated from vomiting or diarrhea.

5. Gum Stays in Your Stomach for Seven Years.

The truth is: Fluids carry gum through the intestinal tract and it passes within days. Also, even though gum isn't easily broken down in the digestive system, it probably won't cause a stomachache.

6. An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away.

The truth is: A handful of blueberries a day will keep the doctor away more effectively. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants and fiber. That said, eating a variety of fruits and vegetables is important to prevent chronic illnesses like heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.

7. You Lose 75 Percent of Your Body Heat Through Your Head.

The truth is: It's important to make sure an infant's head remains covered in cold weather. But for an adult, the figure is more like 10 percent. And keep in mind that heat escapes from any exposed area, so putting on a hat is no more important than slipping on gloves.

8. To Get Rid of Hiccups, Have Someone Startle You.

The truth is: Most things like holding your breath or drinking from a glass of water backward, haven't been proven to work. But you can try swallowing one teaspoon of white granulated sugar. According to a study, that trick led 19 out of 20 people to stop hiccupping.

9. Eating Fish Makes You Smart.

The truth is: For kids up to age three or four, this is true. Fish, especially oily ones like salmon, are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which help with brain development, cognition, and visual acuity.

10. You Shouldn't Swim for an Hour After Eating.

The truth is: Splash away. After you eat, more blood flows to the digestive system and away from the muscles. The thinking was that if you exercised right after eating, that lack of blood would cause you to cramp up and drown. But that won't happen. You might have less energy to swim, but it shouldn't stop your ability to tread water or play.

11. Every Child Needs a Daily Multivitamin.

The truth is: Children who are solely breast-fed during their first year should be given a vitamin D supplement. After that, a multivitamin won't hurt anyone, but experts say that even if your child is in a picky phase, there's no need to sneak vitamins into the applesauce. ELIN NORDEGREN BREAKS HER SILENCE ON TIGER WOODS...PLUS, TIGER SPEAKS... (BTW: ELIN'S HOT!)

Tiger Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren broke her silence after nine months since news broke, of her marriage scandal.

Elin said her interview with People Magazine would be her first and last discussion of her side of the story. Elin talked with People for 19 hours over four days.

The Highlights:

1. She says she's not a violent person and that any stories that she swung a golf club at Tiger on Thanksgiving night are "ridiculous."

2. She was completely broadsided by the news about Tiger's affairs. She thought she was the only woman in his life. She said: "I'm so embarrassed that I never suspected his affairs. Not a one."

3. She also fully believed that her relationship with Woods was a real marriage, not an act that was orchestrated for cameras and sponsors. She said: "The word betrayal is just not strong enough. I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children."

She didn't go into detail about what happened that Thanksgiving night. She also wouldn't comment on the size of her divorce settlement, which is said to be anywhere from $100 million to $500 million. She did say that she won't have to work and will be able to focus on raising her children.

Elin is also a college student. She's been taking night classes to get her psychology degree. She's 40 credits short of her bachelor's in psychology. She hopes to follow that with a master's and, at some point in the future, work as a therapist.

She said: "My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation. I am going to keep taking classes, but my main focus is to try to give myself time to heal."

As for the future, she plans to raise the children in Jupiter, Florida near the home she and Tiger have been building. So she intends for him to stay a part of her life in some way.

Another interesting moment is at the beginning of the article, when Tiger shows up at the home with the children during the interview. He surprised Elin, but she reacted kindly.

LINDSAY LOHAN: NEW JUDGE, NEW RULES.... 'PSYCHOTHERAPY'

Lindsay Lohan was released from rehab on Tuesday and on Wednesday the new judge in her case gave her some new terms of her probation… including psychotherapy and drug testing.

Judge Elden Fox prescribed strict new terms of supervised probation for the actress -- lasting until November 1, 2010.

They include Lohan must reside at her Los Angeles-area home, is not permitted to leave the state until the end of this period, she must attend psychotherapy sessions five times per week and she must speak with a "chemical dependency mentor" at least seven times a week.

She must also attend meetings for a 12-step dependency program five times a week and submit to behavioral therapy twice weekly.

And LiLo will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing at least twice a week and if she ever tests positive for drugs or alcohol, she'll receive 30 days in jail.

(Troubled) Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from a rehab center yesterday after serving 22 days of a 90-day court-ordered commitment.

Lohan snuck/sneaked out a back door of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and into a waiting car.

(Linday checked into the inpatient substance-abuse program Aug. 2, the day she was released from jail after serving about 13 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation in a pair of DUI cases.)

Apparently, doctors at the rehab center determined Lohan did not have a serious addiction problem. She is expected to continue visiting the hospital two to three times a week for outpatient treatment.

Players tap on the correct buttons at the right time while Katy Perry-related graphics show up in the background. Players can also check out a news feed that gives information like biography details, exclusive pics, artist announcements and four chat rooms that are accessible only from within the game. Game scores can also be synced to your Facebook.

Jimena Navarrete of Guadalajara was asked by Olympic gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek how she felt about unsupervised Internet use. She said the Internet is important but parents need to be careful and watch over their kids.

She said, "We must be sure to teach them the values that we learned as a family."

First runner-up was Miss Jamaica (Yendi Phillipps), while second runner-up was Miss Australia (Jesinta Campbell).

Navarrete replaces Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela.

A few weeks ago, a mom was breastfeeding her 5-month old son at a McDonald's restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, when she and her family were asked to leave.

The woman eventually got an apology by the owner. But that didn't stop dozens of moms, dads, big brothers and sisters coming together for an official "nurse-in" lunch at the same McDonald's.

Most critics of breastfeeding think that nursing should be a private thing between a mother and her child. The moms showed up to fight that.

Things went well, all the babies were fed and so were the moms.

IT'S OFFICIAL: TIGER AND ELIN ARE DIVORCED

Attorneys say Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have divorced.

They put out a statement: "We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us."

The division of assets was not included in the divorce filing. Some say Elin could walk away with as much as $650 million.

Tiger is playing this week at The Barclays. He needs a good performance to extend his PGA Tour season and to prove he is worthy of playing in the Ryder Cup.

LINDSAY LOHAN LEAVING REHAB EARLY?

The judge handling Lindsay Lohan's criminal case plans to issue a ruling today, a day before her attorneys are due in court.

A court spokesman said that the judge (Elden Fox) plans to issue the riling this Tuesday afternoon. No other details were given.

Lohan is currently serving a 90-day sentence in a rehab program, but there have been reports that she will be released early.

Lohan spent 14 days in jail and was taken to rehab on Aug. 2 after another judge ruled she violated her probation in a 2007 drug case.

A prosecutor and Lohan's attorney are due in court for a hearing tomorrow (Wednesday).

According to neuroscientists in Taiwan, for some women, menstruation may change the very structure of the brain.

In an MRI study of 32 women who suffer menstrual cramps and 32 similar women without pain -- with members of the two groups matched on age and menstrual cycle -- the researchers uncovered significant brain differences even when the cramp sufferers were not in pain. Among the pain group:

Abnormal [grey-matter] decreases were found in regions involved in pain transmission, higher level sensory processing, and affected regulation, while increases were found in regions involved in pain modulation and in regulation of endocrine function.

It is not yet clear how those structural differences may affect brain function.

5 SOCIAL NETWORKING MISTAKES DATERS MAKE

1. Don't "friend" dates too soon

When you're fresh from the date, one of the easiest and most common mistakes is "friending" someone too soon. If you've just started to date each other, give it serious consideration before you send out or accept a date's friend request. You can wait before you decide without losing the invitation. If you know you don't want to be "friends," just ignore the request. 4. Don't be a social networking stalker

A new two-year study suggests that it may not matter in the long run: When combined with extensive guidance about eating and exercise, people lost about the same amount of weight whether they were on an Atkins-style, low-carbohydrate diet or a traditional low-fat diet.

People in both groups only lost an average of about 7 percent of their weight two years after beginning their diet, although that added up because they were typically very overweight.

2. Eggs

Eggs have been linked to 352 outbreaks. Most illnesses from eggs are associated with salmonella. Eggs made over 11,000 people sick from 1990 to 2006. Salmonella lives in the intestinal tracts of animals and birds. It's transmitted to humans when animal feces contaminate a food like eggs.

3. Tuna

Tuna has been responsible for 268 outbreaks and over 2,000 cases of foodborne illness. Fresh fish decay quickly after being caught. If it's stored improperly, it starts to release natural toxins that are dangerous for humans. Symptoms of tuna poisoning can include skin flushing, headaches, abdominal cramps, nausea, diarrhea, palpitations and loss of vision.

4. Oysters

Contaminated oysters have been linked to 132 outbreaks, with over 3,000 cases of illness. Illnesses from oysters happen from two sources: norovirus and vibrio. Oysters can be harvested from waters contaminated with norovirus. When they're served raw or undercooked, those oysters can cause an inflammation of the stomach and small or large intestines. Vibrio can cause fever and chills, septic shock and blistering skin lesions.

5. Potatoes

Potatoes were linked to 108 outbreaks, with almost 4,000 people sick since 1990. Salmonella is the most common illness. The salmonella could get into the potatoes through cross-contamination from raw or cooked ingredients or from raw meat or poultry.

6. Cheese

Cheese has been linked to 83 outbreaks with almost 3,000 cases since 1990. Salmonella is the most common illness. Cheese can get contaminated during production or processing.

7. Ice cream

Ice cream can carry a load of dangerous bacteria. It has been linked to 74 outbreaks involving almost 3,000 illness from things like salmonella and staphylcoccus.

8. Tomatoes

Tomatoes have caused at least 31 outbreaks and gotten over 3,000 people sick since 1990. The most common illness is salmonella. Salmonella can get into tomato plants through the roots or flowers.

9. Sprouts

Sprouts have caused 31 outbreaks involving 2,022 people. Salmonella and E. coli are the biggest illnesses. Elderly, young children and people with weak immune systems shouldn't eat raw sprouts. The biggest source of sprout contamination is the seeds that are used to grow the sprouts. Seeds can get contaminated in the field or during storage.

10. Berries

Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and other berry products have caused 25 outbreaks and gotten over 3,000 people sick since 1990. Symptoms can include severe diarrhea, dehydration and stomach cramps.

Charlie Sheen's lawyer got him the deal of a lifetime.

The 'Two and a Half Men' star will not be spending any time behind bars -- instead, he'll be spending 30 days in rehab (at Promises rehab center in Malibu, Calif).

Sheen pled guilty in an Aspen, Colo. court yesterday on a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from a Christmas Day 2009 incident with his wife, Brooke Mueller.

He was sentenced to 30 days in rehab, 36 hours of anger management classes, and 30 days of probation. As part of his plea deal with prosecutors, more serious charges -- felony menacing and criminal mischief -- were dropped.

(Sheen was reportedly set to spend 30 days in jail back in June before negotiations broke down.)

He has 30 days to report to Promises; in the meantime, production on season eight of "Two and a Half Men" is set to begin today.

Bill and Hillary's little girl married to her longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky, along the Hudson River in Rhinebeck, N.Y.

The Clinton family announced in an e-mail statement, "Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together."

Lindsay Lohan was released from jail early today and was expected to go straight to rehab facility.

The 24-year-old troubled actress served 13 days of her 90-day sentence. She had been in jail since July 20 after violating her probation in two DUI cases.

Lohan will not be going to rehab on the beach (at Morningside Recovery), but to another rehab facility in the West Los Angeles area--because the Judge was worried that the actress might have access to drugs from the public.

TMZ.com reported that Lohan will check in to a rehab program at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

About two dozen members of the media were at the jail in Lynwood waiting to see if Lohan would be released.

(Lohan was sentenced to serve time after violating her probation. She was supposed to make weekly appearances at an alcohol education program following two DUI cases.)

Lohan will have served less than two weeks of her 90-day sentence. Because she is a nonviolent offender serving time on a misdemeanor, officials said she would likely serve only a fraction of her sentence due to jail overcrowding.

MTV's "Laguna Beach" contributed to a rise in crime in the real Laguna Beach.

Researchers from Occidental College analyzed crime statistics from 2004 to 2006, when the reality series was on the air. The researchers found that non-residential burglaries and rapes posted steady increases every year the show was on the air.

NOTE: The same crime increases didn't rise in nearby Dana Point, which is similar to Laguna Beach in nearly every demographic.

The "Laguna Beach effect" came out to an additional 50 burglaries every month and an extra rape about every three months.

The rise is "statistically significant. Residents have to wonder if they should have kept their town's doors closed when MTV came calling."

Nigel Lythgoe is returning as executive producer of 'American Idol', and there may be only three judges at the table.

Sources say Nigel will take one of the seats himself, with the other two going to Randy Jackson and Ellen DeGeneres.

(Lythgoe left "Idol" in 2008 to focus on "So You Think You Can Dance." In April, he told the press he thought "Idol" had become too much about the judges and not enough about the music.)

Most people think the cost of concert tickets is too high.

Because of that, almost 70 percent of adults admitted they haven't been to a concert in the past year.

Seventy percent said the cost of attending a concert was too much.

More than a third said they wouldn't spend more than $25 for concert tickets, while another third said they would spend $50.

42 percent said the performers cause the ticket prices to be so high. 21 percent put it on the venues and 17 percent said it was ticket services.

Women were also more likely than men to think concert ticket prices are too high.

Rihanna has signed on to make her movie debut in an action movie called "Battleship". It's inspired by the famous board game.

The rest of the cast includes "Friday Night Lights" star Taylor Kitsch and True Blood's Alexander Skarsgård. The guys play brothers who end up "leading the fight for their planet's survival against an otherworldly force."

The movie is scheduled to come out on May 25, 2012.

MIKE POSNER TALKS ABOUT HIS HUGE HIT "COOLER THAN ME" [2010-07-27 01:00:00]

Recent college graduate Mike Posner spent a lot of his time at school writing hooks instead of studying in his Duke University dorm room. Now, thanks to a song he made two years ago called "Cooler Than Me", he's competing with Katy Perry and Usher at the top of the pop charts.

The track is making his fans excited for the release of his debut set, "31 Minutes To Takeoff", which drops August 10^th. He also starts a two-month club tour September 14th.

"Cooler Than Me" has sold more than 1.1 million downloads and is at No. 6 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Posner explained what the song was about.

He said: "The song was inspired by a girl I went to Duke with, but she doesn't deserve any notoriety. There are girls like that everywhere, and that's why people like the song."

Posner did a more hip-hop version of the track on his 2009 mixtape "A Matter of Time". He then started playing weekend shows and even opened for Drake. Label bosses, including Jay-Z, took notice and by the time his semester at Duke ended, he was splitting time between finals and cutting a recording deal.

He signed with J Records last year, but he went back to school for his senior year. He earned his bachelor's in sociology and business with a 3.6 GPA.

After that, he dropped another mixtape and that led to festival dates at Bonnaroo, South by Southwest and Bamboozle.

He said: "There were many nights when I turned my sociology homework over and wrote my set list and taped it to the stage. I would go to school four days a week and then fly out and do as many as five shows in a weekend."

She claims, "Affleck repeatedly referred to women as 'cows;' he discussed his sexual exploits and those of other celebrities that he allegedly witnessed; and asked [the woman], after learning her age, 'Isn't it about time you get pregnant?'"

And she claims that Affleck wouldn't pay her when she wouldn't spend the night in a hotel room with him.

The woman claims, "Affleck continued his abusive conduct by sending her abusive text messages and calling her profane names for refusing to stay with him."

She's asking for $2 million.

Affleck is denying claims, and plans to counter-sue.

Brees was chosen male athlete over Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Jimmie Johnson and Albert Pujols. All but LeBron picked up trophies in other categories.

Gold medal-winning skier Lindsey Vonn won female athlete of the year, beating out Serena Williams and basketball players Maya Moore of Connecticut and Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury.

Vonn was also chosen best female Olympian.

Landon Donovan of the U.S. national soccer team picked up three trophies, for best moment in a World Cup game against Algeria, best MLS player and the performance under pressure award. .

Phil Mickelson ended Tiger Woods' five-year run as best male golfer.

Phil Jackson of the two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers was named best coach, while Kobe Bryant won best NBA player.

Last night's show was hosted by "Saturday Night Live" comic Seth Meyers and aired live on ESPN from the Nokia Theatre. Meyers worked some jokes about Tiger's sex scandal into his monologue.

Researchers say they found evidence that the female brain is more capable of remembering information, than the male's.

Scientists (at Cambridge University) found a clear link between factors, like.... sex, education level and memory function.

The study carried out a number of memory tests on almost 4,500 men and women.

The preliminary results show that women's memories function better than men, with women making an average of 5.9 fewer errors on a specific test of memory than men.

(This difference remains, regardless of age.)

The findings may help scientists to further understand the causes of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.... and possibly help detect the earliest signs of dementia more accurately.

UPDATE: NEW CAP COVERING LEAKING OIL WELL [2010-07-13 01:00:00]

BP has placed a new containment cap on the well in the Gulf of Mexico that's been gushing oil since an explosion and fire April 20.

The company hopes the new cap will be able to completely contain the leaking oil, but pressure tests are still needed to make sure its effective.

Robotic arms lowered the new 18-foot, 150,000-pound cap over the well.

For now, some oil continues to gush from the upper section of the new cap. That was expected and will continue until BP begins "well integrity tests" today. The process could take anywhere from six hours to two days.

If the new cap does not completely contain oil from the well, some may have to be brought to the surface to waiting containment ships. But under a worst-case scenario, there could be new damage to blowout preventer.

BP said in a statement Monday night that, "It is expected, although cannot be assured, that no oil will be released to the ocean for the duration of the test. This will not however be an indication that flow from the well bore has been permanently stopped."

She was part of their 'family' and wanted to be treated better and promoted as the valid part of the group that she was. But she started having a hard time with will.i.am. His ego was getting bigger and he was moving away from caring about their original sound and got more interested in becoming famous."

It seems that Fergie and will.i.am have clashed so much, she made the decision to leave the group.

The source said: "Kim Hill did the exact same thing years ago. After a few years with the Black Eyed Peas, Kim realized that she wasn't going to get the credit that she deserved. FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE PAYING TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON TODAY...

Today, to celebrate the first anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, thousands of fans are paying tribute to the late King of Pop.

He died last year at the age 50.

In London, a memorial was unveiled at the Lyric Theatre, The theatre was the site of an impromptu wake after MJ died last year. The memorial included a small plaque featuring a young Michael with a wide smile.

In Hong Kong, Michael Jackson imitators performed to his classics at a mall.

Another tribute is planned today in Michael's hometown of Gary, Indiana. There will be a tribute at his and Michael's mother Katherine and his niece Genevieve are expected to show up.

Other close friends and family members like Jackson's brother, Randy are also expected to gather this morning for a private service at Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles, where MJ is buried.

Randy released a statement saying: "My family and I will be in attendance as we mourn the loss of my brother. I would like to thank the fans and friends for their continued love, support, and prayers."

Katherine Jackson is also supporting the "Forever Michael" fan event tomorrow at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

The Apollo Theatre in Harlem is hosting a commemoration of Michael's life in front of a new plaque honoring him in the theater's new hall of fame.

Later in the afternoon, the Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network will hold a moment of silence.

LINDSAY LOHAN MUST ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT DRUG USE

A judge has ordered Lindsay Lohan to say if she used cocaine the night she was arrested in 2007 after a joyride.

Lohan is being sued by the people in the car with her that night.

The judge in the case wants the actress to tell the court if she used cocaine that night but her lawyers says she shouldn’t answer the question due to Fifth Amendment rights.

But the judge says she will have the answer the question no matter what.

JERRY SEINFELD CHIMES IN AGAIN, ON LADY GAGA... SHE 'SHOULD MAKE A NICE APOLOGY'

Jerry Seinfeld had more words for Lady Gaga the other night when he stepped in as guest commentator during the NY Mets-Detroit game.

He joined announcer Keith Hernandez for 4 1/2 innings. And while there was plenty of baseball talk, Seinfeld also mentioned Gaga, who he called "a jerk" in a radio interview earlier this week for flipping off fans at the ball park.

"But I'm very protective of my Met fans. I love my Met fans and I did not like . . . the finger. It was disrespectful."

Later, Seinfeld called for an apology. He said Gaga "should make a nice apology to the Met fans.

A source told ShowbizSpy: "Natali asked to come along on Gaga's tour as an apprentice, singing backup. But Gaga's parents, Joseph and Cynthia, are worried that Natali will follow in GaGa's workaholic footsteps."

GaGa was in New York on a tour break in June when she and her parents had a very public argument over dinner at a restaurant.

The source said: "GaGa walked out after a screaming match with her dad. Natali was in tears. GaGa is not speaking to her father, and friends are worried that with her main support system shaken, GaGa could wind up an emotional wreck."
