Bristol Palin is joining the cast of “Dancing with The Stars”.

Sources say Sarah Palin’s daughter has signed on to be on the hit ABC show this fall.

ABC will officially reveal the cast of DWTS on Monday, August 30th during a special episode of “Bachelor Pad”.

AND WHO ELSE?

Also reportedly on board are Jennifer Grey, Audrina Patridge, The Situation, David Hasselhoff, Brandy, Florence Henderson. The season begins Sept. 20. ABC isn't confirming, but E! notes Bristol already has a relationship with the network—playing herself in an episode of The Secret Life of an American Teenager.

Ignore the Kirstie Alley rumor.

'Two Desperate Housewives' Exes!

Two real-life exes of Desperate Housewives stars are in the cast. One is Michael Bolton and the other is... former NBA star Rick Fox!

Vanessa WIlliams' ex-hubby has been cast on the new season of DWTS, which begins September 20. Williams stars as the new fifth housewife this season on Wisteria Lane. She and RIck most recently starred together on the late Ugly Betty.

NEW SONG, NEW ALBUM, NEW MAN... FOR TAYLOR SWIFT?

Taylor Swift has been spotted in Maine with British actor, her video co-star, Toby Hemingway.

Sources said Swift has been spending time with the "Black Swan" star as she prepares for the release of her upcoming music video, "Mine," on tonight's live CMT special.

Hemingway romances Swift in the video. Insiders were wondering if he will also join her for the TV special.

USHER, PARAMORE PERFORMING AT THE MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS

Usher and Paramore have joined the list of performers at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The Paramore segment is being called a "special performance".

It was also announced that artists including Travie McCoy, Jason Derulo, and Robyn will perform with the house band, Deadmau5.

The VMAs air on Sunday, September 12th.

MARIAH CAREY FINALLY SPEAKS OUT ON THE PREGNANCY RUMORS

Mariah Carey finally responded to the crazy rumors that she is expecting her first child with husband Nick Cannon.

Mariah went on her website and wrote: "I appreciate everyone's well wishes. But I am very superstitious. When the time is right, everyone will know, even my publicist."

Pregnancy rumors have been swirling since last week, when Mariah stepped out in Brazil wearing a maternity dress.

Everyone was wondering what happened to Justin Bieber's voice before his dance-off with Shaquille O'Neal on Shaq's TV show.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Shaq sat next to Justin, but it was Shaq that did all the talking as Biebs sat in silence.

Shaq said: "He's been on tour for a while, been practicing for a while. His throat is sore, so he's not allowed to talk during this interview."

Shaq explained that he was translating for Justin because he usually rests his voice before his concerts.

Shaq and Justin will square off in the dance-off on the season finale of "SHAQ vs.". It airs Tuesday night on ABC.

Talking about the dance-off, Shaq said: "Basically it's not really a challenge. For me it's about being the best parent, the best dad I can be. Because let's face it: He's the best. Nobody can beat him. I can't beat him. And I don't want to try to beat him. He thinks I'm gonna do okay, but he's kind of nervous, because he think I'm old, even though I'm 38 years young."

ELIN NORDEGREN BREAKS HER SILENCE ON TIGER WOODS...PLUS, TIGER SPEAKS... (BTW: ELIN'S HOT!)

Tiger Woods' ex-wife Elin Nordegren broke her silence after nine months since news broke, of her marriage scandal.

Elin said her interview with People Magazine would be her first and last discussion of her side of the story. Elin talked with People for 19 hours over four days.

The Highlights:

1. She says she's not a violent person and that any stories that she swung a golf club at Tiger on Thanksgiving night are "ridiculous."

2. She was completely broadsided by the news about Tiger's affairs. She thought she was the only woman in his life. She said: "I'm so embarrassed that I never suspected his affairs. Not a one."

3. She also fully believed that her relationship with Woods was a real marriage, not an act that was orchestrated for cameras and sponsors. She said: "The word betrayal is just not strong enough. I have been through the stages of disbelief and shock to anger and ultimately grief over the loss of the family I so badly wanted for my children."

She didn't go into detail about what happened that Thanksgiving night. She also wouldn't comment on the size of her divorce settlement, which is said to be anywhere from $100 million to $500 million. She did say that she won't have to work and will be able to focus on raising her children.

Elin is also a college student. She's been taking night classes to get her psychology degree. She's 40 credits short of her bachelor's in psychology. She hopes to follow that with a master's and, at some point in the future, work as a therapist.

She said: "My immediate plan is for the kids and me to continue to adjust to our new situation. I am going to keep taking classes, but my main focus is to try to give myself time to heal."

As for the future, she plans to raise the children in Jupiter, Florida near the home she and Tiger have been building. So she intends for him to stay a part of her life in some way.

Another interesting moment is at the beginning of the article, when Tiger shows up at the home with the children during the interview. He surprised Elin, but she reacted kindly.

Two days after his divorce went final, Tiger Woods made his first comments since his divorce went final three days ago. He said he feels more sadness than relief.

Tiger and his ex-wife Elin were officially divorced Monday, nine months after he got caught having affairs.

Tiger said that right now, his golf is secondary and that he's trying to get his two children used to their parents being divorced.

Woods said it's a sad time in his life because "you don't ever go into a marriage looking to get divorced.

LINDSAY LOHAN: NEW JUDGE, NEW RULES.... 'PSYCHOTHERAPY'

Lindsay Lohan was released from rehab on Tuesday and on Wednesday the new judge in her case gave her some new terms of her probation… including psychotherapy and drug testing.

Judge Elden Fox prescribed strict new terms of supervised probation for the actress -- lasting until November 1, 2010.

They include Lohan must reside at her Los Angeles-area home, is not permitted to leave the state until the end of this period, she must attend psychotherapy sessions five times per week and she must speak with a "chemical dependency mentor" at least seven times a week.

She must also attend meetings for a 12-step dependency program five times a week and submit to behavioral therapy twice weekly.

And LiLo will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing at least twice a week and if she ever tests positive for drugs or alcohol, she'll receive 30 days in jail.

MILEY CYRUS IS SINGLE....

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have broken up.

A rep for the 20-year-old Australian actor said the rumors that the two have split are indeed true.

Liam and Miley began dating last August when they met on the set of their movie “The Last Song”, but their relationship soured recently.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston are expecting a boy according to the actress’ rep.

The couple announced in May that the 47-year-old Preston was pregnant.

This will be their third child… the couple’s16-year-old son Jett died from a seizure in January of last year and they have a 10-year-old daughter.

LINDSAY LOHAN GETS SPRUNG FROM REHAB [2010-08-25 01:00:00]

(Troubled) Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from a rehab center yesterday after serving 22 days of a 90-day court-ordered commitment.

Lohan snuck/sneaked out a back door of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and into a waiting car.

(Linday checked into the inpatient substance-abuse program Aug. 2, the day she was released from jail after serving about 13 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation in a pair of DUI cases.)

Apparently, doctors at the rehab center determined Lohan did not have a serious addiction problem. She is expected to continue visiting the hospital two to three times a week for outpatient treatment.

A hearing is set for this morning at a Beverly Hills courthouse before a new judge, Elden Fox.

A 22-year-old Mexico woman won the Miss Universe pageant last night.... after telling an audience it's important to teach kids family values.

Jimena Navarrete of Guadalajara was asked by Olympic gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek how she felt about unsupervised Internet use. She said the Internet is important but parents need to be careful and watch over their kids.

She said, "We must be sure to teach them the values that we learned as a family."

First runner-up was Miss Jamaica (Yendi Phillipps), while second runner-up was Miss Australia (Jesinta Campbell).

Navarrete replaces Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela.

(BOOBS, UNITE!)...BREASTFEEDING MOMS HIT A MCDONALD'S FOR A "NURSE-IN"

A few weeks ago, a mom was breastfeeding her 5-month old son at a McDonald's restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona, when she and her family were asked to leave.

The woman eventually got an apology by the owner. But that didn't stop dozens of moms, dads, big brothers and sisters coming together for an official "nurse-in" lunch at the same McDonald's.

Most critics of breastfeeding think that nursing should be a private thing between a mother and her child. The moms showed up to fight that.

Things went well, all the babies were fed and so were the moms.

IT'S OFFICIAL: TIGER AND ELIN ARE DIVORCED

Attorneys say Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have divorced.

They put out a statement: "We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us."

The division of assets was not included in the divorce filing. Some say Elin could walk away with as much as $650 million.

Tiger is playing this week at The Barclays. He needs a good performance to extend his PGA Tour season and to prove he is worthy of playing in the Ryder Cup.

LINDSAY LOHAN LEAVING REHAB EARLY?

The judge handling Lindsay Lohan's criminal case plans to issue a ruling today, a day before her attorneys are due in court.

A court spokesman said that the judge (Elden Fox) plans to issue the riling this Tuesday afternoon. No other details were given.

Lohan is currently serving a 90-day sentence in a rehab program, but there have been reports that she will be released early.

Lohan spent 14 days in jail and was taken to rehab on Aug. 2 after another judge ruled she violated her probation in a 2007 drug case.

A prosecutor and Lohan's attorney are due in court for a hearing tomorrow (Wednesday).

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from “Jersey Shore” could make $5 million this year.

He is making close to $60,000 per episode in salary, and between $15,000 and $50,000 per event for appearances.

He also has endorsement deals with Vitaminwater, Reebok and an unnamed vodka brand; will front a clothing line with Dilligaf and a line of chewable supplements with GNC; has released his own fitness video; and has partnered with Gotham Books to write his autobiography.

The Sitch is quoted saying, “It’s people like that who come on the show who people will tune in and watch because either it will be a travesty or it will be interesting to see somebody turn something completely around so I’m up for anybody.

'GLEE' GETS A GAY QB

Kurt is getting a boyfriend on Glee.

Cast member Chord Overstreet will play Chris Colfer's on-screen boyfriend appear to be true.

Jane Lynch says, "They've cast him already. He becomes the new star quarterback and he's going to be Kurt's boyfriend."

Lynch said she couldn't remember the name of the actor who is playing Kurt's beau, but she described him as "tall, boyish with straight blonde hair and big fat, pouty lips".

Britney Spears just filmed a cameo for a season two episode of "Glee," but there are already rumors about bringing her back.

Co-creator Ryan Murphy hinted that Britney could do more episodes in the future.

When he was asked if "Glee" and Britney fans can expect to see more of her in the future, Murphy said: "Probably, yeah...probably."

Mariah Carey looking pregnant in Brazil has led to another round of pregnancy rumors, along with another round of denials by Mariah's hubby, Nick Cannon.

Nic said: "I've said it before and I'll say it time and time again. When my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her."

"We all know it's extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff."

Nick also said that if there ever is an announcement, he and Mariah want to "strategically plan it out properly" to avoid "media hoopla."

He said: "That's something you want to keep near and dear and as close to you as you possibly can, until you're 100% sure, in any situation. It turns out Katy was walking through a back door of a function room when she heard "California Gurls" playing. Katy grabbed a microphone and started singing along to her track.

According to neuroscientists in Taiwan, for some women, menstruation may change the very structure of the brain.

In an MRI study of 32 women who suffer menstrual cramps and 32 similar women without pain -- with members of the two groups matched on age and menstrual cycle -- the researchers uncovered significant brain differences even when the cramp sufferers were not in pain. Among the pain group:

Abnormal [grey-matter] decreases were found in regions involved in pain transmission, higher level sensory processing, and affected regulation, while increases were found in regions involved in pain modulation and in regulation of endocrine function.

It is not yet clear how those structural differences may affect brain function.

5 SOCIAL NETWORKING MISTAKES DATERS MAKE

1. Don't "friend" dates too soon

When you're fresh from the date, one of the easiest and most common mistakes is "friending" someone too soon. 1. Slater is a self-described “Bag Nazi” and it’s this obsession that sparked Monday’s incident. On the now famous flight from Pittsburgh to New York, Steven and a woman got into a disagreement after he insisted her bag had to be gate-checked before they took off. After landing in New York, the woman was angered her bag wasn’t immediately available and ended up hitting Slater with one of the overhead bins. Lesson learned: don’t mess with your flight attendant.
2. Steven has an understanding momma, Diane Slater. She told the press, “I don’t think he’s going to be in trouble very long. I think he just had a very small meltdown, and I think he deserves to be able to have that meltdown if you saw the egg on his head where he got smacked.” Diane currently resides in Steven’s hometown of Thousand Oaks, California, and has lung cancer.

5. The 38-year-old flight attendant has been working in the aviation business for over 20 years and it is one of his biggest passions. When he is not up in the sky, Slater says he is usually doing housework, dining, or going to gym because of all the dining.
6. Music-wise, Steven’s interests lie in “cheesy disco trash and sappy big hair metal ballads” as well as classical, jazz, new age, and lounge.
7. Steven’s emergency exit escapades having already inspired several Facebook groups in support of the flight attendant. They are also trying to raise money for his defense. The biggest group so far has over 100,000 members already.
8. There are even more creative approaches to trying to help the new working hero. They include: auctioning portraits of Slater on eBay, a legal defense fund started by a pilot, and creating interest in a film about the incident.
9. It’s a good thing that people are raising money for Slater because his stunt could end up costing him. The price for using an emergency chute can run up to $25,000, and Steven could also end up serving seven years in jail if he is found guilty for all the charges against him, which include criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and trespassing.

(Former 'American idol' winner) Fantasia was released from a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina after an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid.

Her manager Brian Dickens said: "She has been lifted up by the outpouring of love and support from her fans. She is more committed than ever to her daughter and her work because they are her heart, her soul and inspiration."

The overdose came after 26 year old Fantasia was named in a lawsuit claiming she was having an affair with a married man. Fantasia denied she was responsible for breaking up the marriage, but admitted having dated the man "off and on for 11 months."

Fantasia said she thought the man and his wife were separated. Now she is "heartbroken and sorry for any pain she caused."

(BTW: Trashy gossip sites claim she was also crushed, because her man broke up with her. This is unconfirmed.)
